Fight against HST heating up.
With the betrayal of federal politicians to acknowledge the wishes of the citizens of BC and Ontario, as well as the BC Liberals handing off items guaranteed the province under the Constitution Act 1982, the fight over the HST is heating up.
As mentioned before, BC Refederation is in the forefront of the fight, making waves where we can.
This week I have the honour of seeing that the Omineca Express, a Black Press weekly, has done a write up on my protest of the HST in front of Liberal MLA John Rustad’s office he recently opened up in Vanderhoof. (Not bad. It only took 7 months from the election to do. And he has no visible street signage to indicate he has an office there.)
However, below are two articles taken from the paper of Deember 9, 2009. Pages 2 and 13 of that issue.
And, it should be noted that while there have been claims of media bias, this should not extend to the Black Press Group since they have consistently published stories from all parties and groups on both sides of the issues. Please support your community and your community papers. They serve the cause of democracy well.
