B.C. Hydro looking for nine-per-cent rate hike
Hopes to use funds for infrastructure
and to boost provincial coffers
“Hydro is seeking to increase its basic rate to cover infrastructure costs while also increasing the dividend the provincial government receives from profits.”
Just how much money do they think tax payers have got? This amounts to serfdom. You get to work hard and pay the King his tax. Why not just do a head tax Gordo?
The new carbon tax of, 4.45, will really hurt the trucking industry. That tax, will drive up, food costs and every type of goods that are trucked. So again the consumer has to make up the difference. Food costs, have already gone up 27%. Hydro, will be going up, 33%. Then we have the HST, of 7%, on pretty much everything. Central and northern BC, is dead. Huge, massive lay offs of mill workers, is crippling the wood industry. Campbell has sent our mills to China, and shut down, a growing number, to the extent, we are having, ghost towns. There have been 20.000 mill workers laid off. Our raw logs are being shipped to China. 800, more teachers, are to be laid off. The damage list is far too long to name them all. Campbell and Hansen, will have to send red tents, to every city and town in BC.
