The RefedPlan© - 1,2,3 Plan
BC Refed’s ideas make possible a movement towards the re-federating of Canada, starting with BC. These ideas think “outside the box”, and they are backed by both international law and Canadian domestic legal principles.
The BC Refederatiion Party’s fresh solutions to the problems of re-balancing our confederation in favor of the provinces are well described by author - philosopher - activist Richard Moore in his book “Escaping The Matrix”.
Here is his insight, as mentioned in Dialogue Magazine www.dialogue.ca , Dec 07-Jan 08 issue:
“If a movement makes demands, then it is admitting that power resides elsewhere. If a movement creates solutions, then it is asserting its own power.”
The RefedPlan© is engaged in a huge task, but it has created solutions grounded in reality, not floating in some dreamworld. Making demands of Ottawa has never worked and never will. But the RefedPlan© solution will bring Ottawa to the negotiating table by means of “the power of the purse”, by a tax revolt by the province of BC, by the return to the original tax-sharing agreement that created Ottawa in the first place.
A BC Refed government in Victoria will phase in the withholding of all direct taxes raised in this province, and will pay Ottawa for federal services rendered to the province. - no more.
