Voters need a way to keep politicians honest
The Refederation Party of BC proposes the most comprehensive system of Direct Democracy of any in BC. The party has written the text of a “BC Direct Democracy Act”, after researching the Swiss model.
We are well past the stage of suggesting it, or promising it. When a Refed government submits this draft legislation to a BC referendum the voters will be able to choose options to extend voter supervision to the BC bureaucracy and the BC judicial system, as well as the Legislature, and to add Recall of appointed and elected public officials, and to choose to install a referendum system at the municipal level.
