Problems for BC at the fundamental level require fundamental changes.

A BC Refederation Party government will propose three fundamental political changes to dramatically improve life for all British Columbians:

1 Taxes
A lawful tax revolt of the provinces against Ottawa.

2 Veto Power
The RIGHT of British Columbians to veto bad provincial legislation between elections. That includes BC Refed [BC Refederation Party] legislation.

3 Domination by Ottawa
Refusal by BC to accept disallowance by Ottawa of legislation passed by BC and approved by British Columbian voters.

Are these three proposals do-able ? YES

Are they lawful ? YES

What can stop them happening ? One thing only. The failure of British Columbians to organize the power of their vote.

Who will lead this (peaceful) revolution ? BC is full of natural leaders who can improve life for British Columbians if shown a workable plan.

Who will produce a workable plan ? A RefedPlan© exists. It can be improved. It charts the way to fundamental changes for BC in “taxes - veto power - domination”.

Where do other provinces fit in ? People in other provinces will demand their own version of the RefedPlan© when they see BC voters controling BC politicians.

But how can Ottawa govern the country without taxes ? Ottawa will be paid by the provinces for services provided to the provinces. Direct taxes will be kept in the provinces under the control of the provincial voters. Obviously Ottawa will be reduced in size. That was the intention of the 3 provinces who created Ottawa in the first place [with the Quebec Resolutions of 1864].

Refederate or Separate ? The RefedPlan© will make separation unnecessary. No province with increased powers, together with increased tax income, will feel dominated by Ottawa. The needed central government functions will be “funded by the provinces”, which means “controled by the provinces”.

Starting with BC, the RefedPlan© will federate the country again – will promote a re-federation - and will return us to the terms of the original federating of the provinces in 1867.

Remember, the people combined have more power than the politicians. We can do it.

BC Refed is the only party in the province that proposes another way, a better way, to govern ourselves in BC. Right now we in BC do not govern ourselves. We are ruled. It is time for a change.
